Like Cold Water to a Weary Soul

Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land. (Prov 25:25 NIV 84)

I don't normally post laudatory comments about my book Spiritual Maturity: The Road to Wonderland, but today I thought I'd make an exception. It was so good to receive the following email while I am here in Africa.

Just a quick jot that I've used your Spiritual Maturity briefly yesterday to clarify a question on the flesh. I scoured Millard Erickson, Ryrie, Thiessen, but found yours and Ryrie's to be most helpful. So, for what my humble and most lowly opinion is worth, your book has been a good help for this pastor.

The value of writing is that your words keep having an effect whether your present (or even living) or no. Even while I'm a long way away, God is using the words of this book to minister to his people. You have no idea how this causes me to rejoice.

If  you haven't checked out Spiritual Maturity yet, I wish you would because I think you'd find it valuable.
