Pray With Us
Spring 2021 Newsletter
There were many blessings in 2020, despite the world-wide pandemic. God’s work continued despite the sickness, government shutdowns, and the persecution of the church.
Our work in central Africa continued. When we were unable to send teachers for the annual conference and church visits in Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo, we focused our efforts on the physical building of churches.
Dr. Floribert Kazingufu leads the association of approximately 40 churches throughout these countries as well as Tanzanian and Uganda. He reports:
God continues to be faithful to us and we see His hand moving mightily in Africa. Despite the coronavirus, this year has been a year of growth. Conversions, Baptisms, ordinations, and weddings are reported in all our churches in Burundi, DRC, Tanzania and Uganda as fruits of evangelism and discipleship.
Projects achieved over the past year:
Purchased land for the church in Sangers, DRC
Purchased land in Lemera, DRC
Made bricks and started the church foundation in Lemera
Purchased iron sheets for roofing for the church in Kasumbalesa, DRC
Paid yearly rent and church support for Kigoma, Tanzania
Church building support in Mutakura (The home church in Burundi)
Project goals for 2021
Purchase properties for 5 churches to be build
Purchase iron sheets for 5 churches
Cover rent for some of the newer churches
August 2021
We are busily planning a trip to Africa! Our missionary-in-residence, Pastor Jacob Baker, will be returning along with a seminary student to teach at the annual conference, held for over 100 pastors and leaders. During that week, they will also have the opportunity to preach at nightly revival services where over 1,000 people will attend to see the mzungu (white men).
Praise to the Lord for:
The growth of the Church in central Africa
God has stirred the hearts of our two missionaries to preach and teach the Gospel
Our website has been revamped and is up and running!
Prayer Requests:
That God would, even now, prepare the hearts and minds of those who will be in attendance at the conference, August 12th-15th
Successful preparations would be made and visas obtained for our two travelers
Funds would be raised to cover the trip - $6,000
Additional funds raised to cover the cost of building and rent for the 5 church plants
